The Study Tour Program serves as a vital component of the curriculum at BNDS.SJS. Designed for students during the intersession—a dedicated academic phase nestled within a single semester, bridging two major academic blocks—it offers immersive travel routes that take learners beyond campus into nature, enriching their experiential learning. While “learning” remains the core objective, “travel” serves as both a bridge and a platform. Through exploration, students extend textbook knowledge while cultivating resilience and character. The Study Tour Program empowers students to grow into visionary, open-minded, and globally aware individuals, instilling in them a profound sense of responsibility and mission—qualities that forge the pillars of the nation and the backbone of its people.
During summer and winter vacations, students select their preferred routes and research topics based on the school's preview of study tour programs. They either form groups with peers or conduct independent research, thoroughly preparing for their learning journeys through materials such as promotional posters, project proposals, and presentation slides.
Pre-Trip Research丨Preparation as the Foundation of Learning
Each day's itinerary in the study tour program is meticulously designed by teachers. Through various experiential learning activities, students remain highly engaged, avoiding superficial "sightseeing-style" tours and ensuring learning remains the core focus. Notably, some exclusive learning bases inaccessible to the general public have been successfully secured through teachers' relentless negotiations, transforming these mysterious educational venues into unforgettable learning spaces that leave lasting impressions on students.
